WEA processes claims within a maximum of 20 business days. You will get an email when your claim is received in their system, and another email once there is a change in the status of your claim.
There could be three results after the claim is processed:
- The claim is approved: If you have a deductible, it will first be decreased from your deductible. Once you have finished your deductible, claims will be paid to you either by check or bank transfer. See our guide about how to define your reimbursement option, so you can get paid as fast as possible.
- The claim is pending: If more medical information is needed or some documents are missing. This will appear in your explanation of benefits.
- The claim is declined due to preexisting conditions, missing medical documents, a waiting period or any other reason as defined in your policy.
You can appeal your claim within 60 days of receiving the decline notice.
