Out of Network

Most commonly in the USA, your healthcare provider will have a network of providers that you are permitted or encouraged to use for your healthcare. When seeking treatment in these care facilities, the insurance will pay within the terms of your benefits and deductibles. If you visit a medical institution outside this network, then it is likely that your healthcare insurance provider will not pay the entire bill and you will be liable for certain medical fees.

Outside of the USA, the insurance company network is usually used in one of the following ways:

1. To provide Direct Billing on your medical services.
2. To reduce your deductible.
